Capacity Development of the Maitri Movement Association

Beneficiary

Maitri Movement Association, Gdańsk, Poland.

Objective

The Maitri Movement Association, established in 2011, is a non-profit organization that provides access to education and material aid to children from low-income families in African and Asian countries. The association’s long-distance adoption program has supported nearly 4,000 children in primary and secondary schools, with each child having an individual sponsor. The association also funds the purchase of food, medicines, and infrastructure development, with aid distributed through Catholic missions in various countries. The association’s key challenges are: reducing the time required for handling settlements and financial documents, and improving public communication for greater consistency and efficiency.

Description

The project activities are scheduled for 2023 and 2024. The first stage involves automating processes for handling correspondence and financial settlements. The second stage includes staff training to ensure proper use of the new tools. Additionally, the staff will receive training to enhance their capabilities in fundraising, project management, process operations, and communication with missionary outposts in Africa and Asia.
