To deepen participants’ understanding of European art through direct study of masterpieces by the Old Masters.
Description
The Paris Study Tour was organised by Fondation Amani as part of the Professor Jacek Żuławski Award programme. During the two-day educational visit, participants explored the permanent collections of the Louvre Museum and the Musée d’Orsay, including the special exhibition dedicated to the works of Auguste Renoir.
The award recipients were accompanied by Professor Maciej Świeszewski and Tomasz Kucharski from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Through lectures and discussions held during the museum visits, participants analysed artistic techniques, composition, colour, and the development of European painting through direct engagement with original works of art.
